American (who else?!) laws
These laws still remain in the books of America today (even if rarely enforced)
In Tennessee, it is against the law to drive a car while sleeping.
Alaska law says that you can't look at a moose from an airplane.
In Kentucky, it's the law that a person must take a bath once a year.
In Florida, it is against the law to put livestock on a school bus.
In Virginia, chickens cannot lay eggs before 8:00 a.m., and must be done before 4:00 p.m.
In San Francisco, there is an ordinance, which bans the picking up and throwing of used confetti.
So i am/was in a stupid mood. But these laws are more stupid!! ... Who is going to stand there and make sure the chicken doesnt lay any eggs before 8am?!
And it is daylight savings finally! Time for summer! Especially now that i only have 2 days left of uni (tuesday & wednesday!!!)!!!! .... and i dont really have anything else to say today.

4 days to go!
Only 4 days until end of semester!!! Only have half of Tuesday and 1hr on Wednesday this week!!! It’s getting exciting!
I got my second injection on thursday... what fun. And my doctor has sent me off to have an ultrasound (on my foot), so now i have to find time to fit that in as well.
Oh and yesterday at the gym, i got to take my first class!! It was a one-on-one (personal training) - older lady called Mary - i normally just tag along for her class. And next week... i have to take a whole class - i.e. the warm up, the actual class and possibly the cool down too (depends - cos if the cool down is pilates, then i wont do it, but if not then i might). So that will be kinda scary...
Still 4 weeks until the election… I hate all the lead up campaigns etc. They are driving me mad! Even though I should probably pay more attention to it all so that I can make a “more informed decision”… all you ppl decided who you’re vote will go to?? Hmmmm, I just want it to be over.
Oh and Justine – I just missed getting an HD on that assignment that I was doing the other week (the exercise program one)!!

update...
So since wednesday... didnt end up going to the cocktail party - went out for chinese instead. And she loved her presents, which was good. And friday i went to the gym as usual - poor jeanette only got 1.5hrs sleep cos she was up with her son all night who decided he was going to start stressing the night before his first exam (he's doing his hsc atm). ... anyway, after that we went to hornsby and then went to my nanas/pops for lunch. ... came home and i slept for 2hrs before getting up and going to club... which was half fun. Afterwards was fun!!! Megan, alison and i went to Max brenners :) yuuummmmmmm!!!!! That was good! Then came home, watched this crazy movie - cabin fever... it was weird...
Then yesterday was a normalish day... aunt and uncle came over in the afternoon. And today i went swimming cos it's hot!!!!! Love warm weather, but it's 38degrees here at berowra :( thats just crazy! ... but still - i get to wear my yellow clothes!!!
11 days till end of semester...!
Oh and i got the 'exile on mainstream' album by matchbox twenty!!!!! It's exciting!!!

Boring...
Im bored. Extremely. I have no work to do, so I have been myspacing and emailing for 3 hours now. And there is only so much of that a person can take. I should have brought some work with me to uni today. That would have been a good idea. But I’m not one for good ideas when needed. But oh well. Waste the uni downloads instead of mine. Hahaha.
Yesterday was a crap day. Don’t have the emotional endurance to recite it all again. But basically it started okish, and went downhill from there. And ended up with me collapsing on the lounge in tears when I got home. But that’s not important. What’s important is that I need to go shopping TODAY for bday card for megan, and lollies and a card and a present for Jen, and ingredients to make brownies to send to uni with megan tomorrow. So I must remember to do that this afternoon. Otherwise im shot.
And today is cold – it’s not fair.
Oh and my mum cut my hair. With a fringe. And I died it very dark brown, almost black. And tomorrow there will be red streaks.

Hahaha
I have a funny story for you:
A guy was driving when a policeman pulled him over. He rolled down his window and said to the officer, "Is there a problem, Officer?"
"No problem at all. I just observed your safe driving and am pleased to award you a $5,000 Safe Driver Award. Congratulations. What do you think you're going to do with the money?"
He thought for a minute and said, "Well, I guess I'll go get that drivers' license."
The lady sitting in the passenger seat said to the policeman, "Oh, don't pay attention to him - he's a smart@$$ when he's drunk and stoned."
The guy from the back seat said, "I TOLD you guys we wouldn't get far in a stolen car!"
At that moment, there was a knock from the trunk and a muffled voice said, "Are we over the border yet?"

the plateau of a blog
I need to blog more - the month is already half over and i have only blogged 4 times!
it's my sister's birthday this thursday and we (me, her and her uni friends) are possibly going to a cocktail party at the greengate on thursday nite... and the theme is black, white and red... and she actually said that i could wear her black dress - i didnt even ask, she just said i could wear it. ... so if those plans go ahead, i hope its fun. ... but she has only 2 more days of being a teenager - and then she's old!! Where does the time go??? ha - but thats exciting cos that means there is only a year to her 21st, and that is going to be one awesome night!!
Only 17 days until my last day of my first year of uni!!! Thats scary, cos it feels like only yesterday that i was studying for the hsc. But its also awesome, cos then i get a break from some of my stress load.
Oh and justine - i have contributed to my (so-called) "emo" image again... not that you will ever know what that means, but thought i would blog it anyway.
So now i have blogged 5 times for october...

I love animals! ...
First things first. For those of you who I sent that fwd to about the seals… the animal cruelty one…. Im sorry that you had to see those awful pictures. But the whole intention of the fwd was to show that those sorts of things do happen in the world… and thus to join the fight against animal cruelty. It was horrible to discover that one particular person thought it was my idea of a joke – if you think I am that sick, then obviously you don’t know me at all… It was sent to me, and being the person I am (one of my favourite animals are seals!!) I forwarded it on to the people who I thought would also care about something horrible like that. … however if the person in question cared about animals that much, they too would join the fight against animal cruelty and not just turn a blind eye to what really happens in the world.
On a happier note - i did my presentation this week at uni, and handed in another assignment. So yesterday and today i have been able to relax a bit... not that it makes me feel very happy anymore after the shock of receiving that email :( ...
*sigh* ... im not in the mood to be blogging. But it's a good way to vent frustration. ... and i should go before i say something i might regret.
edit: i can't believe i wasted a whole post on this... wasn't really worth the time and effort...

I accidentally stapled my shirt to my paper...

oh and i conveniently forgot to mention the fact that the other night when there was the black out, i managed to get really hot wax from the candle on my lip. Yep, you heard right. On my lip. ...

Fireball week
Had a black out last night. Was pitch black!! but fun lighting candles and stuff. The power was only off for about 20mins though, which was good, becasue i hadnt had a shower (how am i meant to do that in complete darkness?) and i hadnt printed off my lecture notes and megan was trying to study for an exam. And apart from that, it's just annoying on a weeknight.
Today started out normal. Beautiful weather this morning. Walked to the station to get the 6:57am train, got the train, got the bus, arrived at uni, talked with fellow class members and then proceeded upstairs to our tute. It was the first day of lit review seminars/presentations, so we didnt actually do any work. So we finished 40 mins early, so i went with Kirsten to work in the library for 2.5hrs. Joy! Not. So after wasting a lot of time searching for journal articles, and playing around on myspace, we headed back up for the lecture. OMG it was like walking into a freezer!! For such a hot day, the auditorium was ridiculous! Good thing i had a jacket with me. So we get through 15 mins of the lecture, when we found ourselves in complete darkness again (much the same as last night). So that sucks, cos there was no power, meaning we couldnt see the power point and Rob (the lecturer) had to continue teaching us in the dark. Mind you, we tried hard to get a massive early mark. So we continue on in the dark for about 10 mins, when the fire alarm starts going off. Fairly funny stuff. Rob was just like "no, no, this is just so that we prepare to leave"... stupid man. So he tries to keep going over the noise of the fire alarm, and us laughing and making jokes about how we will trapped in there... yeah rite. But then the real fire alarm went off, and so everyone is evacuated and sent to the oval (we just all went home 25 mins early!!, cos we had no more classes). And when laura and i were driving back up to the highway, we pass two fire trucks rushing back towards the uni, sirens blaring. And what do we do? Laugh. Now i look back and think, thats not funny, but it was kinda funny at the time. Unless it was just that 'laugh cos your nervous and its instinct kicking in and you dont know what else to do' thing.
So i get home and fell asleep for half an hour - i mean it was a very stressful day, i deserve my sleep. And now i am making it look like i am working on assignments, when really i am blogging and myspacing and emailing... hahaha. And Dad just phoned about 30 mins ago, saying trains are screwed up cos there are fires at Cowan. (oh! so that's where all the smoke is coming from!) ... it has been a fire filled week - all week we have been able to smell the fires at Pittwater, and today there was the uni fire, and now there are fires in the next suburb!! Just fantastic isnt it.

STORM WON!
"The mighty mighty Storm!!" ...Melbourne won!! (If anyone who reads this actually cares) Brilliant game! Really enjoyed watching it.
And other news... there was a real storm last night, and a tree fell down out the front of our house (kind of at the end of the street for those of you who know my street), and pulled the power lines down, so that was fun. A crazy telstra van with paintings all over it came and fixed it this morning.
Does anyone read their horoscopes? I do. Not religiously, but fairly regularly. And in yesterday's Sunday Magazine, mine was so true/relative. Weird how the sunday ones are always pretty relateable. ... It gave me a choice (one which i have been struggling with for quite a while) and i know which one i should choose, but it's just making that decision and then carrying it out which is the hard part. Like the horoscope says, "why rock the boat?" ....I think i have been waiting "for the oppurtune moment", which unfortunately is extremely unlikely to ever come.
*sigh*
anyway, must start working... otherwise i will never get any of it done.
Oh and it's OCTOBER now! How great is that! Almost done...
