Today was my first day back at uni. And while I really wanted the holidays to be longer, it was great seeing all my friends again. We had a lecture this morning for lifespan devleopment, then a break of about 15 minutes, then a tute for the same subject. Funny funny tutor man named Jonny. Then we have a break for 3 hours (cos we don't have any other tutes this week), so Laura, Nadine, Megs, Bridget, Em and I went for drive to Warriewood beach (near Mona) and had lunch in a nice cafe and then sat on the beach in the sun for a while and watched the surfers. So much fun esp driving home ('We have to take our clothes off' ... LOL). Oh and man those hills through Mona and Terry Hills are bitches with five young ladies in the poor little car ... Then we get back, buy a textbook and then go to last lecture of the day (Behavioural Foundations of Leisure and Sport). This was a funny lecture. I sat with Sam, Amy and Erica, and man it was hilarious! The lecturer is a tiny woman named jennie small... and she looks like a librarian and apart from the fact that the lecture content was boring, us four managed to have a great time in there. Laughing uncontrollably and high on (the best) gummi bears and drawing kindergaten quality pictures... good times. I'm sitting with them every lecture for that subject cos we just have so much fun together... oh and we were doing this thing on personality, and the lecturer asked who was Erica's friends (so that we could say some good things about her personality) none of us said anything... we all just stared at the little lady... and then there was lots of laughter from the whole lecture theatre and an "ouch" and a "snap" from some guy and Ash respectively.... hahaha... Erica forgave us... i mean how could she not, she loves us too much right?... lol ... So then the day was over and Ash drve me to Turramurra (the nice guy that he is) and so I get home and have more hilarious fun with Jeff... not going into detail... hahaha
then dinner and All Saints...
So yes. Had a fab first day back. (but again, I hate the workload this semester... hols are so relaxing...) ... oh oh and I forgot... Toby remembered who I was - after us thinking at the party that he wouldn't remember me, he did. Way to not live up to expectaions... lol
Talk to y'all soon!

Harry Potter 7
Screw this non-existent talk about HP 7! I will give a warning though, and that will have to suffice.
WARNING: If you haven’t read Harry Potter 7 yet, and don’t want anything to be given away, then STOP READING NOW! (albeit pls don’t stop visiting my blog, just don’t read this entry).
What did people think of it? I liked it. And i'll prob have read it twice more before the yr is out. I was shocked when Fred died though. I wasn’t expecting that. Poor George. … but I cried the most when Dobby died. That was sad. (Or maybe I was just in a sad mood and therefore found it more sad than I usually would?) … Oh and it was horrible when Hagrid thought Harry was dead and was carrying him back up to the castle. That was just mean, I felt so sorry for him. … but good always triumphs over evil in the end. That bit was obvious. ... and I’m glad the Malfoys turned good. Well Narcissa and Draco anyway. I still don’t like Lucius, but the other two are ok.
Anyway, my time is up, the timer for the pasta is going off, so I have to go! Pls comment. I need to talk.

¡Hola cada uno!
First of – sorry Justine for not blogging in a while.
So the last week of holidays have gone way too fast for my liking. However, I did get more holidays than some people, and way more than if I was in school, so I suppose I shouldn't complain.
Thursday was such nice weather! Jeff had his athletics carnival so Megan and I went and sat in the sun and watched. It was sooo nice in the sun - summer weather. I had on a singlet top thats how hot it was. Anyway, it was also fun watching the races and talking.
Oh and Saturday! Meg's party! ... but i will start from the beginning. Saturday morning went to Jeff's 8:30am soccer game... his team won (2-0) with Jeff scoring both goals... Then we went shopping so I could get Meg a bday present. And the Ready, Steady Cook chefs were there outside woolworths cooking food that smelt sooo good. So then we buy donuts and xbox games and good foods for lunch. ... and I should probably leave out the part of Jeff and I going back to the car (while parents were in woolworths), and us running up and down the escalators the wrong way. And then playing loud music in the car.
Anyway, fast forward to Saturday night - Meg's 18th! (by the way, Meg is a basketball friend) The theme was 'my 5th birthday party' so obviously we all dressed up as five yr olds. Party was so much fun! We played pass-the-parcel, and had a treasure hunt, and ate donuts off the clothes line, oh and danced (well some of us danced... like Emma, Meg, Sam and I) ... and talked to laura (which was good cos she has been living in Ireland for almost 2 yrs now, and so obviously havn't spoken to her in ages) and Jenny. And talked to heather aswell (she was one of my physie buddies, but she stopped about 5 yrs ago). ... And nice guy (i forgot his name). …Oh and exciting! – met this guy (Toby) who is at UTS doing the same course as me!! And we had never seen each other b4 (well we prob had, but you know what I mean). He’s actually doing the human movement degree, but they are the pretty much the same. We do the same subjects anyway. And so we talked for ages. But he was very tipsy. Not bad drunk, just saying the randomest things. And repeating himself fairly often. .. but it was so much fun! Oh and watched guys play pool… and Emma kept changing songs (she could have been the dj for the night, apart from the fact that she kept asking me if the song was ok, or what we should put on next… ‘Umbrella’ got ppl singing, albeit annoying “shut-up” singing) and when it wasn’t playing properly and her and black hair guy couldn’t figure out why I took one look at it and said “it’s not plugged in properly” … (such a Mrs Robinson moment) thing is, black hair guy wasn’t drinking and Emma had only had one champagne at that time. And best thing was that I could walk home! Cos she lives right around the corner from me. …Oh and did I mention that I had an AWESOME time?
So yeah… uni tomorrow. Meeting Toby so we can swap classes. Hope I don’t forget. But this week should be good – cos there are no tutes!! yay!
Anyway, hope y’all have a good week. ¡_ adiós amigo! _
P.S. 145 situps yesterday… was that stupid of me?
P.P.S. how was the snow dan?

8 months behind
I think I am a bit behind the times. The HSC finished 8 months ago, but I am only just starting to throw out and organise HSC stuff/papers today! I think the reason I havn't done it earlier is cos I just didn't want to look at it. After the HSC I just put it all in a pile (well multiple piles actually) and then left it underneath my desk. But I think the time has come to do something about it. ... I think our recycling bin is going to be very full this week.

Oh and here are some questions for you... if you have answers i'd love to hear them. lol...
- If quizzes are quizzical, what are tests?
- Did you ever notice that when you blow in a dog's face, he gets mad at you, but when you take him on a car ride, he sticks his head out the window?
- Why do toasters always have a setting that burns toast to a horrible crisp which no decent human being would ever eat?
- Why do they call it an 'asteroid' when it's outside the hemisphere, but call it a hemorrhoid' when it's inside your ass?
- 'Why is the time of day with the slowest traffic called rush hour?
- Who was the first person to look at a cow and say, "I think I'll squeeze these dangly things here, and drink whatever comes out"? ... and last one...
- Who watched a white, hard thing come out a chicken's ass and thought, "that ought to taste good"?
Yeahhh. After reading random things like these, you start thinking about other random things.

Hola
¡Hola cada uno!
I know, i know, I have been lazy with my blog lately. Apparantly I have also been lazy with my health... according to my mum I havn't been looking after myself and my immune system is really low atm and I look awful and I've been going to bed too late every night etc etc.
Oh! I got the 7th installment of HP yesterday, but I am yet to start reading it. Noone better spoil it for me. I already know too much.
Went to Mac uni on Friday cos Megan had to pick up her academic transcript (and met Ruby in there too) and then enjoyed hot chocolate while overlooking the lake (yes - the lake Xiamung - so sue me) then continued over to Mac centre for a bit of retail therapy, where I saw Erica (uni friend). Then continued to Hornsby for more retail therapy where we laughed a fair bit over a (cute) guy (who was possibly gay according to Megan) in Jay Jays. ...Was a good day, apart from the traffic. We sat at the traffic lights on Talavera rd for the time it took to listen to 4 Good Charlotte songs... cos there were road works in the left lane, meaning that it was all screwed up. Then there were more road works in Hornsby. And before we had even left Berowra in the morning two cars were trying hard to have a pile up in front of us.
So traffic is crazy. Like that hasn't been established before.
But now the ad is about to be over and that means Gray's will be back on, so must go.

Estudios Internacionales = España
Es un gran día hoy. ¡Conseguí mi primera preferencia por estudios internacionales... que es obviamente España! (It's a great day today. I got my first preference for international studies... which is obviously Spain!)
It's exciting to finally have certainty as to what country I will studying! I have decided that even if I don’t continue with international studies I still want to learn Spanish and visit Spain.
Oh and uni results will be out tomorrow. Kinda like the HSC all over again with the waiting and checking online. Which reminds me – hope you all were happy with your results (well those of you who are uni/tafe/school ppl).
And Megan comes back from Coffs tonight… she gets in at 9:15pm.
But I should go and do something useful.
¡Ámele todo!
¡Adiós!

30 hours
It's been a week since I have posted some sort of boring drizzle on here, and with ppl telling me to blog, i thought that i probably should.
So this past week has been quietish. (see its gonna be boring) Monday I went to Jillian's for dinner and sleepover (more detail on justine's blog)... can't really remember much more of the week. On Friday I went shopping then back to Jill's house for the afternoon/evening. Then came home and watched Pretty Woman. Saturday went to brother's soccer game and shopping again and then drove home. ... Sunday I went to my Aunt/Uncle's place (mainly to see my cousin and his gf who live in Canberra) and that was good. Found out other cousin who has been travelling the world since February 2005 is coming home in September for 3 weeks!! So that is good cos obviously we havn't seen him in ages!
Oh and then drove home and have now hit the 30 hour mark!!! I'm getting there!!
And today I went to see Harry Potter 5 with Dan, Emily, Louise and Ashley. And it was good, but a bit rushed. Caught the train home with Louise then had a relaxing afternoon doing nothing in particular.
So nothing here was really that interesting.

Atheists
I meant to blog about this a few weeks ago when I first saw it. It was on a sign outside a church in Gordon...
'God doesn't believe in atheists. Therefore they don't exist.'
Comments anyone...?
I have thoughts, but want to know what other people think first.

Kitty Hawk
Yesterday I got up thinking it would be a nothing sort of a day. But after cooking Megan lunch and reading sunday papers, someone suggested I go driving and someons suggested we go see the Kitty Hawk.
So at about 3:15 we get in the car and I drive us all in to see it (via petrol station where we stocked up on mentos and of course petrol). Well I didn't drive all the way. I drove for an hour and we swapped back over just before we crossed the Anzac Bridge. So that was fun! My first city-ish driving experience. So we continue on, passing Hyde Park, Cook + Phillip Pool, The Domain, The Art Gallery ... and drove out along Mrs Macquaries Point so that we could get a good view of the Kitty Hawk, which was/is stationed in Woolloomooloo Bay. Then we drove around the other side of the bay (via Kings Cross) and got a closer up view of the ship. Was interesting. There were lots of aircraft on board that you could see, (and sailors too!) and there was a frigate floating not too far away as well that we could see. And lots of American flags out in the streets.
So then we headed home via Harbour Bridge and North Sydney/Chatswood way. I got back in to drive at Lindfield and made a slight detour to my uni (mainly for the benefit of Jeff as he has only been there when he was a baby so can't remember it). On the way home I was almost wiped out by a crazy old driver who wanted to drive in two lanes at once. Lucky for me the parking lane next to me was empty and i could pull over a bit, which if i couldn't do then I would have been sideswiped by this crazy car. So proceeded to drive to Mt Colah where we got some pizza (elise you weren't working :( !) and then finally got home about 7pm and watched Ugly Betty and Gray's while eating pizza and chocolate slice. (I made 2 sorts of chocolate slice on Saturday afternoon - one was just plain chocolate slice, the other was peppermint chocolate slice. yum)
And then I went to bed and read a few chapters of The Half-Blood Prince.
So that was my Sunday.

Is anyone out there?
Lets catch up. Someone organise. Not me. I'm bad at organising (with the small exception of schoolies). ... oh. and let it be an inexpensive catch up/gettogether thing ok? Please someone...
Oh and my sister is going to Coffs Harbour next Thursday for 6 days, so I will be all lonely... :( ....so if anyone wants to do anything on Monday the 16th, or Tuesday the 17th, I will be more than happy to join you!
Seriously, have my school friends all gone on long holidays? I know you havn’t. But no commenting on blog, no plans to see each other, no emails, noones ever online, …. (ok, so I admit that I havn’t emailed many ppl either, but like I said – I am bad at organising things. It just stresses me out if im organising something and the plans need to be changed a million times…)….. is anyone out there who feels like doing something?

Brown-out
Today we had a brown-out. Lucky i had just finished cooking my lunch when the power decided to go crazy. The lights were on half-power, some weren't working at all. My computer was on, but it didnt have enough power to keep the screen on. The microwave didnt work at all, neither did the stereo. The tv started going completely spastic and the same with the air con. It was kind of crazy.
And then i noticed that we had some people at the end of our street. They were from Victoria and they had this cool modern comby van that said 'wicked' down the side and across the front. They were airing out sheets, blankets and clothes, and they also had a mattress. According to our neighbour (who came over to talk about the power issues), they were on a big camping type trip and they were heading into the city tonight. .... maybe like the modern hippie???
And i downloaded 3 Goo Goo Dolls songs today as well. So I am happy about that. And it only took 27 seconds for each song! How good is that?
So I am reading Order of the Phoenix before i see the movie (which should be accomplished by saturday) and then i'm reading The Half Blood Prince before the next book comes out. So I should be finished that by next Friday. Or maybe Saturday, depending on what else I have to do.
And we had this tiny little sparrow bird today in our back garden. It was so cute and so tiny!
Anyway, hope y'all have a good day tomorrow. (I know part of my day will be good cos I get to drive to Roseville and back! So I am happy about that.)

The sleep-in
The shame... I woke up today at 11:30am. My longest sleep-in ever! Sunday morning was 10:40am so that was also fairly late, but 11:30!!!! Crazzzy - for me anyway.
Then I took my time with breakfast and sudoku and the went outside to play cricket with my brother. Then talked with him for awhile and then decided we should try to make a fire. So inside we go to get 2 magnifying glasses and away we go to burn some leaves and paper in the warm, sleepy sun. And the smoke stunk! It was a horribly smell, but luckily the smoke was chasing my brother and not me for once! lol
So then we had lunch and made more fire and now he has gone swimming and here I am updating blog. And talking on msn to my sister who is in the room next door to me. Shows how lazy our society has become.
So can't wait for the 7th installment of Potter books!!! Three people are going to die. That's my bet. I know that 2 people definitely die. But I have a feeling that it will end up being 3 people. Not long to wait now!!!
And I am going to cook pancakes. And also listening to loud music. So have fun sleeping or surfing net or whatever you are doing!

A weekend of partyness (and late nights)
Ok. So this will probably be a long blog entry.
Friday I went shopping with Megan - mind you, here i was still in my pjs when she's like "I'm going shopping do you want to come? Im leaving now." So I had a few minutes to get ready. But we had fun buying clothes and singing in the change rooms of Glassons. When we came home and had lunch I went to bed for a short nap. and then got up and got ready to go out!
So we (megan and I) went and picked up Danielle at about 7pm and then got a train from Hornsby to Central and then walked to City RSL. Met Kirsty, Kate, Kate, Pru, Dave etc (oh and Candice and Jessie came a bit later too) And we watched 5 bands perform, which were all really good! But out of all the bands there was only one girl (she was a backing vocalist and on keyboard). Marillian Avenue was up last (thats the band we were supporting cos Sam was in it) and they were really good. And they also played some songs that I could sing along to. But being so close to them and the speakers was deafening - when the music stopped I couldn't hear anything - the silence was also deafening. After that we pretty much headed home and I was in bed by 3:25pm. Except that it wasn't the best sleep i've had cos there was a party somewhere within very close proximity in the valley and they were playing very loud and very good music. So after they played 'Piano Man' I decided to get out the earplugs.... which also come in handy when you dont want to think that you have robbers in your house... but thats another story...
Then comes the civilised hours of a Saturday morning. I got up about 9:30 and had breakfast, checked emails and talked to Kara (or maybe it was justine?) on msn and then went back to bed for a little bit. Then got up and had lunch... then guess what? I went back to bed again! Then got up and prepared for that night. Dropped sleeping stuff off at Louise's then drove the mob to Hornsby station where we caught train to Town Hall and walked around for a little bit, then made our way to Wallaby Bar in Darling Harbour (Cockle Bay to be precise). Then drank and partied the night away!! Nice guy - tipsy - with friend who was celebrating his birthday... a uni friend... another uni friend who gave me a hug and told me she loved me ... justine stroking a guy's arm .... louise has a story about the birthday guy (you forgot to tell me louise!!) ... ummm singing happy birthday to another person on the bridge... justine and Dan trying to get in unnoticed to a club via the back entrance/exit and being stopped by guard... mc donalds in harbourside... opening toilet doors with feet... someone saying something super mean/bitchy lol - i forgive you ... freezing our buts off while waiting for a bus and sitting on a stone wall at Town Hall... taxi from Hornsby station and a crazy taxi driver who drove in multiple lanes at once, was driving on the opposite side of the road and also speeding (thank goodness there were no other cars around)... then we finally made it back to louise's at about 3am and defrosted as soon as we walked in the door (ahhhhh) and watched an episode of Daria before falling sound asleep next to the heater....
Woke up this morning (ha - pinch and a punch for the first day of the month) to the sound of Justine's phone alarm at 10:40, then I got dressed, packed up sleeping bag and Megan picked me up at 11:30... got hot chips for lunch/breakfast then made chocolate pudding and ate it while watching Gilmore Girls (that is becoming a habit)... then had a gossip session with Megan and now the day will be fairly lazy until Ugly Betty and Grays Anatomy!! Then I will be going straight to bed and sleeping and sleeping for at 8.5 hours.
Overall a fun weekend!! Can't wait for the next one like it!
