The sleep-in

The shame... I woke up today at 11:30am. My longest sleep-in ever! Sunday morning was 10:40am so that was also fairly late, but 11:30!!!! Crazzzy - for me anyway.

Then I took my time with breakfast and sudoku and the went outside to play cricket with my brother. Then talked with him for awhile and then decided we should try to make a fire. So inside we go to get 2 magnifying glasses and away we go to burn some leaves and paper in the warm, sleepy sun. And the smoke stunk! It was a horribly smell, but luckily the smoke was chasing my brother and not me for once! lol

So then we had lunch and made more fire and now he has gone swimming and here I am updating blog. And talking on msn to my sister who is in the room next door to me. Shows how lazy our society has become.

So can't wait for the 7th installment of Potter books!!! Three people are going to die. That's my bet. I know that 2 people definitely die. But I have a feeling that it will end up being 3 people. Not long to wait now!!!

And I am going to cook pancakes. And also listening to loud music. So have fun sleeping or surfing net or whatever you are doing!

my goodness. you really need education in the art of sleep. when you have any chance, the sleep in is a must. holidays, it is expected. it is considered weird not to.

Justine it is not weird to get up at a decent time. I do not wish to spend anymore time in bed than I already do. It's a waste of time when you could be out doing other things. Doesn't it make you feel laaaaazzzzyyy to be lying in bed for the better half of the day? The times you ppl get up is kinda ridiculous - daylight is half gone! And in winter it is more than half gone! And yes, I know nightlife can be just as good (ha - even better!), i do admit that, but aren't there things you want to do? Spend time with people that you love instead of being an antisocial bum staying in bed until lunch time or even later! ... and did you know that it's unhealthy to get any more than 9 hours sleep each night/day? And say you go to bed at 2am and then then get up at your regular 1:00pms, then you are getting 11 hours of sleep! Thats half a day! Oh and the holidays aren't meant to be spent in bed! They are meant to be spent doing the things you wish you could be doing during semester! Like seeing ppl, and going shopping and movies and playing piano and singing and attepting to learn guitar and going into city lots more and much more partying and dancing! mmm... yes. not meaning to rant or anything. lol! ... mmm. Yes. We will have a sleepover. Sure thing. And I will open the curtains/blinds at my usual uni waking up time of ... 5:50!! Hahaha! ... lol dw, I won't be so cruel to you nocturnal creatures.

see you've got the balance all wrong.
sleep ins actually create MORE time to do things and with much more energy. For example, sleeping in until 2 means you're awake much later at night. which effectively means you have moree that 12 hours in a half day. if i sleep til 2 i don't go to bed til at least 4. giving me more than 12 hours of awake time. and the city is better at night, singing can be achieved in the shower, the car, the loungeroom or anywhere. Pianos need to be owned to play. same for guitars.

Plus, consider this: it is easy to wake up if necessary without a sleep in. It's not as easy to STAY awake when tired.
